In the beginning …

It is incredibly daunting to write the first post of a new blog. I wanted to come up with something witty and insightful. That’s a lot of pressure. While I hope to offer both at some point, I don’t want to set your expectations to high. 🙂 Instead what I’ll tell you is who I am and why I set up this blog.

Since I was a child I have always wanted to be a writer. I wrote poems and stories to pass the time. The tradition has carried on and now I write not only for myself, but with the hope that others will read my work one day (not just my family and those I have taken hostage). So, I have set up this blog to share my struggles as I write and my love for the written word.
