Everyone has a voice. Everyone matters. Everyone wants to be heard.
I believe we all have a story to tell. We have an experience to share with the world. We won’t all tell our story in the same way. Telling your story is about finding your voice.
I was watching a talent competition on tv recently and this young man in goth clothing got up on stage for the first time and sang in a beautiful soprano, operatic voice that shocked the audience. Then something wonderful happened. For maybe the first time in his life, he felt like he mattered. The crowd, judges and his family praised him for the talent he had been hiding away. Finally his voice was heard.
His voice was singing. My voice is through the written word. What is your voice? How are you going to tell your story?
